From 1^st Sept 2008 onwards Ofsted began inspecting schools provision for community cohesion

Are you ready and fully prepared ?

This course will SIMPLIFY and CLARIFY the requirements of the Duty for you to promote community cohesion in school.

· Have you written your policy yet? A ready-written policy will be provided on this course.

· Have you done your audit? – We will provide you with an audit and help you complete it during the training day – Go back with your audit done!

· What is Community Cohesion? What is the ‘Common Vision’?

· Are you aware what the Community Cohesion duty entails?

· Is your curriculum teaching and learning promoting Community Cohesion?

· Do you know about equity and excellence?

· Do you know what is considered to be good practice?

The day will save you a lot of time researching and reading. It will provide answers to questions and it will be used to review the DCFS Guidance on the duty to promote Community Cohesion.
