RAISING STANDARDS AND

IMPROVING PROGRESS

IN KEY STAGE 2

This will be a day to review the DCFS publications in

the ‘Making Good Progress’ series and

learn lessons from them to apply in all schools.

We will see what lessons can be learnt by all schools from the three recent DCSF publications:

Making Great Progress – Schools with outstanding rates of progression in Key Stage 2.
Getting There – able pupils who lose momentum in English and mathematics in KS2.
Keeping Up – Pupils who fall behind in Key Stage 2.

Time will be spent analysing the three publications to identify the actions that all schools need to consider, if they wish to raise standards and improve progress in Key Stage 2. The day will save you lots of reading and research!
